BISSELL JOINS FORCES WITH CARPET FOUNDATION - 7th April 2006

Floorcare brand BISSELL has joined the Carpet Foundation as an associate member.

Charles Gordon, BISSELL's commercial director says: "2006 is another big year for us. We're launching new deep cleaners and a new vacuum. Being part of the Carpet Foundation adds to our momentum."

"As the originator of deep cleaning, it's a natural fit. There's a huge amount of synergy between us and the Carpet Foundation, and its members - the major players in carpets and independent carpet retailers."

"We'll be working very closely together on communicating to retailers and consumers the benefits of carpet care, especially through deep cleaning and the appropriate cleaning formulae. It's important that consumers look after their carpets following purchase."

The Carpet Foundation was established in 1999 to impact on consumer attitudes towards carpets. Communicating the advantages carpets bring to homes, the Foundation is supported by the leading UK carpet manufacturers and over 1,100 top independent retailers, known as Registered Specialists, making it Europe's largest carpet retailer/manufacturer partnership.
