The Carpet Foundation has just secured Office of Fair Trading approval for its Consumer Code of Practice. The OFT Approved code is exclusively adopted by our 1100 independent retailers known as Registered Specialists. The Code sets a completely new uniform standard for selling practices in UK carpet retailing and should give you massive peace of mind. You are dealing with businesses you really can trust.



The Code, which applies to all carpet sold by Registered Specialist Retailers, excluding rugs, promises you:

Written terms of business - so you know where you stand
Written quotations - so no nasty surprises
Deposit protection - your order is safe
Extended guarantees from Carpet Foundation manufacturers
Cancellation of orders on 'reasonable' grounds
Agreed complaints resolution procedures

Ongoing independent monitoring to ensure compliance
