Latest News NEW PLANNING PERMISSION LEADS FOR CARPET FOUNDATION REGISTERED SPECIALISTS - 19th January 2005
In a move that adds further value for its Registered Specialist retail network, the Carpet Foundation has signed a deal with emap glenigan to pass on the names and addresses of up to 10,000 individuals a month who have applied for planning permission. This service, which could become a useful source of extra business, comes on top of the existing lead generating activity with internet estate agency, rightmove, which has proved highly beneficial for many Registered Specialists and the first exclusive range for Registered Specialists that was launched by Victoria in the Autumn. The planning permission leads are generated from the 440 local authority planning lists nationwide. Ninety per cent of applications are successful with work typically starting within 12 weeks of the initial application. A typical applicant is aged between 30 and 54, married with a mature family and lives in a four bedroom house. All names and addresses are matched against the Mail Preference System (MPS) to ensure no unsolicited mail and the Carpet Foundation has also deliberately applied filters to exclude kitchens, garages, new house builds and conservatories. As with the rightmove leads, Registered Specialists have to 'opt in' to receive them and the first batch of planning permission 'leads' will be sent out in February. Rupert Anton, Carpet Foundation marketing director commented: "We are acutely aware of the need to provide optimum benefits for our Registered Specialists and consistently 'add value' to their membership. With the provision of this new service, Registered Specialists can target individuals who are planning to spend money on their residence and will need a floorcovering. The database is cleansed and verified to minimise wastage and ensure that every contact is worthwhile.
